On the 23^rd-24^th

January 2010 Wrekin College Swimmers were in action again at the 13^th Brierley Hill Open Meet held at Wolverhampton Central Baths.

As the first club attended Open Meet of 2010, the main aim of this open meet was for "Practice" to allow some of our younger swimmers race experience for the upcoming Counties, and to allow some of our more competitive swimmers another chance at gaining Regional or National qualifying times.

Overall Wrekin College Swimmers achieved a very impressive medals tally of 5 Gold, 9 Silver and 12 Bronze our best medals tally so far, outstanding 63 Personal Best's (PB's) and 6 New Midland Qualifying times.

Despite the fact that the Brierley Hill open meet was aimed at technique on starts and turns and race experience in preperation for the counties with no P.B's expected, I was really pleased with all our swimmers results. Keep training hard now for the Midlands and we will see what the counties bring.
