gogglesOn the 31st January 2010 Wrekin College Swimming Club swimmers Megan Carline (11), Paige Addison- Norry (11), Holly Barnett (12), Olivia Simmonds (12), Olivia Phoenix (13), Madelaine Tracy (14), Jade Evans (14), Jack Sanders (11) and Macauley Carline (13) have all been selected to represent the Shropshire ASA Team in the forthcoming Inter-County Invitation Gala at Fenton Leisure Centre, Stoke on Trent - Start 2.30pm (warm-up 2pm).
 
Their selection is further evidence of Wrekin College's growing reputation for developing young swimming talent.

Shropshire will be competing against the top swimmers from Cheshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.

Congratulations and Well done to all our swimmers on their selection.

tenpin_bowlingAs a final wind down to a very hard years training and a successful first year competing as a club, some of the Wrekin College Swimming Club members enjoyed a night on the town at Telford Tenpin Bowling. All members received festive Santa hat to wear for the occasion and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Thankfully they swim better then they bowl!!!

Special thanks to Kerry Barnett for organising the evening and selection boxes.

All Personal Bests are stored in our online database which holds all officially recorded short course (25m pool) and long course (50m pool) times.

These are available in the Members Only section of the website.

David ClarkeOn the 24th October 2009, Wrekin College's Youth Coach David Clarke competed at the National Masters Championships held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

After previously gaining three records earlier in the year at the Midlands District Masters, Youth Coach David lead by example and went on to gain 3 silver medals and a further two more Midland District records in the 800M and 1500M freestyle at this highly prestige event.
