Megan Makes Nationals Print
Swimming Club News
On the 7th February, Wrekin College Swimming Club member Megan Carline (Aged 11) swam in the West Midlands 800M & 1500M time trials held at the Coventry 50M International Pool.

Megan competing in the 800M event, swam exceptionally and achieved a massive personal best and also gained her first ever National Qualifying Time (NQT) with a time of 10:31.08.  This is a fantastic achievement for both Megan and Bagcats Coach Rachel Reilly.

Her coach Rachel Reilly said:
Wow, I'm so proud. That was a real moment that doesn't happen very often. Well Done
Also competing was Paige Norry-Addison who also recorded a personal best time of 10:42.69 in the same heat.

Unfortunately the morning events then had to be cut short due to an incident in the pool resulting in Alexandra Harris and Madelaine Tracy being unable to compete and forcing their heats to be rescheduled.
