Description

City of Birmingham Swimming
Open Meet 2011

Venue: Stechford Cascades
On: 22nd – 25th April 2011

The City of Birmingham Open Meet has now been operating as a development meet for 18 years and is widely recognised as a high quality meet for its operation and programme.

The meet has had international teams from France, Australia, Eire and Iceland compete over the years as well as the regular clubs who visit us year on year.

In the last four years we have witnessed the setting of a GB Medley Team record by the CoB team of Alex Hooper, Sophie Caul, Terri Dunning and Lauren Collins as well as GB disability records and World Best Times, plus thousands of personal bests, regional and national qualifying times by other club swimmers.

The meet offers the fullest range of events and runs each Easter from Good Friday to Easter Monday. There are finals for all events of up to 200 metres during the early evening session.
